Treating Gastro Issues in Kids’: Doctors’ Advice is a Must

The chronic abdominal problem is quite common among children and managing the issue can be a tricky affair. Children with this problem experience belly pain that often remains for a short time; however, if it lasts longer than two weeks, it is imperative that parents contact a paediatric specialist. Doctors mostly begin with a detailed medical history because it often suggests a diagnosis, and they also check for family history as it plays a significant role in the cause of abdominal pain. It is important for parents to look at the consistency of gastro issues and a child's bowel movements because you do not know what goes on in the bathroom. It is recommended for parents and teachers to help the child better tolerate the pain. The views are even echoed by a well-known paediatric gastroenterologist, Dr. Anupam Sibal, who happens to be the Group Medical Director of Apollo Hospitals Group. He recently shared his practice experience on chronic abdominal pain in kids’. To read what Dr. Sibal suggested to parents in regards to Paediatric Gastroenterology click here.
